On August 4, 2008, Loto-Québec published its Retailers' Code of Conduct to raise awareness at points of sale regarding the required commitment to integrity, respect and social responsibility.
The Code of Conduct provides a clear statement of all essential conditions for retailers to properly manage lottery sales. It also details the progressive administrative sanctions that can be applied in the event of failure to comply to those conditions.
In August 2011, the Retailer's Code of Conduct was updated to include the latest changes to clauses notably regarding the return of the validated ticket along with the validation coupon and, if applicable, the replacement ticket, as well as the signature upon purchase.
The document is available in English and French.
