Each year, Loto-Québec supports over one hundred events that take place all over Québec, through its sponsorship program, Les Rendez-vous Loto-Québec.

To simplify the sponsorship request process, Loto-Québec has set up an online form (in French only), which is hosted by SPONSORIUM. This online tool clearly describes the procedure and the information needed to complete the form. It is extremely important that organizations applying for funding online complete all relevant fields before submitting a sponsorship request, as requests cannot be changed once submitted.

Every request is thoroughly analyzed and assessed. For the next sponsorship year, which starts April 1, 2010, all requests must be received by October 31, 2009.

Les Rendez-vous Loto-Québec Criteria

The selection and exclusion criteria used during the evaluation process are described below. For a request to be eligible, it must meet the following three selection criteria.

Categorie – The event must be held primarily outdoors and be considered a popular event.
Accessibility – The event must draw the community together, be easily accessible, and be offered to the community either free of charge or for a very low admission fee.
Spin-offs – The event must generate significant economic and social spin-offs for the community.
Exclusion Criteria – Our sponsorship policy excludes the following:
1. Individual athletes or sports teams, associations or organizations.
2. Activities associated with community investment.
3. Activities or events associated with children’s entertainment or festivals.
4. Facilities, such as buildings, parks or other locations, whether public or private.
5. Groups with religious or political affiliations.
6. Events relating to television, radio, Internet or cinema.
7. Fundraising events, personal projects, cultural expeditions or cooperative missions.
8. Events that take place entirely indoors.
9. Golf tournaments.
