Since its creation in 1969, Loto-Québec has paid more than $23 billion into the public coffers, returning the fruits of its activities to the Government and local communities each year.

The Corporation’s clientele, business partners and employees all benefit from its economic contribution, as do the Government and provincial taxpayers alike.


Where Loto-Québec’s earnings went in 2008-2009

$1.375 billion in dividends paid to the Québec Government

$1.032 million in prizes paid out to lottery and bingo winners

$379.5 million in commissions and remuneration paid to network bingo, video lottery and bingo partners

$388.3 million paid in goods and services purchased from companies conducting business in Québec

$379.1 million paid in employee salaries and benefits

$226.6 million in taxes and special levies paid to various levels of government
